To the north along the Moray Firth, the links courses continue but there are also magnificent headland layouts that catch the full effect of wind and weather, so often a feature of a Scottish golf sojourn.

Moray on the other hand enjoys a relatively mild and dry climate, sheltered from much of the prevailing winds by the Cairngorm Mountains and the surrounding hills .
